The Witches’ Voice: A Look at witchvox.com

Published by madrigalblue at 12:59 pm under Pagan Tools Edit This

I wanted to take a moment to highlight an excellent resource and some of its recent content. The Witches’ Voice is a powerful, user-driven, user-sponsored web site allowing users to learn about pagan paths, find pagan businesses, and connect with others in their area.

This site allows users to choose who contacts them (individuals, businesses) and divides content into sections, my favorite being essays.

An excellent example is this article discussing pets in ritual.

I believe the site’s success is mostly due to the manner in which it is moderated. Freedom of speech is always taken into consideration, but carefully balanced with promoting quality content and ensuring users’ safety. It is free to create an account, look around, and contact other members. This site was around long before ning-type groups or even MySpace–check it out!

Love that site. That was the site that finally helped me find a local metaphysical shop when I was in need of smudging supplies…

I echo the author on this one. Witchvox is an EXCELLENT resource.
